We picked up 6 granite stones that were brought over from England by the early settlers which used them ship ballast. Once they arrived, they used them at the ports to help off-load the shipments. Since then they had been used as curbing in the cities in Tidewater before they were dumped in a pit. A stone worker contact has taken some time pulling these out of the mud and is using them in landscaping project.
